Biography

Tobe, pronounced "2-B," and not,"Toe-Bee," Daranouvong is a renaissance man. He has been a professional Graphic Designer for over 15 years and has worked for a gamut of clients in a variety of industries ranging from small local businesses, the Warner Music Group, the CSU system, the Napa Valley Wine Train, and most recently American Pacific Mortgage. He received his Bachelor's of Science in Graphic Design from Sacramento State University where he also has a minor in Film. His student documentary, "Perpetuated Stereotypes in Hollywood Cinema," has won recognition. Tobe is also the owner and publisher at Alpha Q Comics where the graphic novel VILLAIN is published. He is also the artist and co-creator. Other notable comics he has worked on are SUMO GEISHA and THE ORIGIN OF CAPTAIN CALIFORNIA. Tobe has been drawing and designing ever since a pencil was put into his hands. He is currently the Creative MOFO at APM. When he isn't doing that, he is at numerous comic book conventions promoting his art & illustration. He is also a dancer and beatboxer. Tobe's secret villainous base is located somewhere in Northern California where he resides with his beautiful and supporting wife, his amazing & talented daughter, two tigers and a wolf.
